Family: Misaki (24)- Madoka's younger sister, who's been managing her household, and even raising her daughter, while she's been away. Also sends Madoka money when she can. Has a warm disposition.
Yuubae (6)- Madoka's daughter. Rather cold and surprisingly intelligent.

Personality: Madoka did used to be a friendly people person full of happiness and laughter. However, after six years of seeking revenge, she's turned bitter and full of a deep cold anger. And while she may put her old people skills to good use, (like when she needs to collect information), she never lets anyone get close to her anymore.

-Born into the buku (samurai) class
-age 6: first began her training in the way of the naginata
-age 19: married Ito Iwao, [link] a ronin of some repute.
-age 19: (about six months after the wedding) Iwao leaves to find the legendary sword. however, shortly after that Iwao is found dead. there are no witnesses to who killed him
age 25: (present) After many years of searching for her husband's killer, Madoka found her way into the SDL. many men here too are searching for the legendary sword and possibly one of them may be the man she's looking for.
